Notwithstanding the gloomy news across the media, most people I speak to are busy and positive. 2018 will be equally frantic therefore I expect, however if your desk is anything like mine, then it will be covered with letters from suppliers imposing price increases. Variously, these organisations are pointing at raw material price increases and shortages (due to high demand), distribution costs and other operational inflationary pressures. Most of these have already come into force at the start of January. Interestingly, at this stage we are not seeing these pressures across the board, but certainly on silicones and other liquid adhesives and sealants. As usual, Techsil will protect its customers from these pricing pressures for as long and as much as possible.
