Uptown Chandler additions

Uptown Chandler is one of the city's five designated employment corridors and covers a four-square-mile area in the northern part of our community. The area is home to a balanced mix of housing and employment uses with more than 20,000 residents, 550 businesses, and 11,870 jobs.

While the area is mostly built out, there are several noteworthy development projects that have recently started or been completed. Below is information on three of these projects and how they are bringing exciting uses to previously vacant buildings and parcels.

Mox Boarding House has officially made its Arizona debut, opening last week at 1371 N Alma School Rd. Uptown Chandler is Mox's first location outside of the Pacific Northwest. This unique business offers a dining experience along with a boardgame store filled with all of your favorites and many waiting to be discovered.

Carolina's Mexican Food is preparing to open its first Chandler location at 1972 N Alma School Rd. They are renovating a vacant restaurant space (previously Pork on a Fork) with the goal of opening by the end of the year. Visit Chandler recently published a video giving a sneak peek of the new location. Watch it here.

Uptown Commons will be a new 252-unit apartment complex at the northeast corner of Arizona Avenue and Elliot Road. The property was recently purchased by The Garrett Companies, which is moving forward with project plans approved in 2020. Dirt is now moving on the site with vertical construction to follow.

Chandler Endeavor Client Profile:

Justin Moore and his company Agoge

For seven years, Justin Moore was a jet engine mechanic in the Air Force.

But when he left the military to focus on family, Moore traded in a career connected to the sky for the opportunity to get on the ground floor of a new and, what he saw could be, lucrative industry.

This entrepreneurial move has not only made Moore the founder and CEO of Agoge, his company centered around sustainable protein derived from hemp, but also one of the success stories to emerge from the Chandler Endeavor Venture Innovation Incubator program.
