UConn and Qatar University Case Competition | |
Consider applying to participate in a case competition in collaboration with Qatar University! The presentation date is Saturday, November 16th from 8 AM - 12 PM EST (Storrs) and 4 PM - 8 PM AST (Doha).
The application deadline is Monday, October 14th, 2024 at 4:59 PM EST (Storrs) and 11:59 AST (Doha). Applications will be reviewed, and decisions will be communicated out on Friday, October 17th.

Register here by 10/11/24 if you would like to be considered for a spot on the UConn Stamford CFA Research Challenge. You will be notified via email regarding your status no later than 10/24.
The CFA Research Challenge gives students all around the world the chance to learn best practices in equity research through hands-on mentoring and intensive training in company analysis. Last year’s global competition featured over 6,000 students from more than 1,000 universities worldwide, and the local competition featured 12 universities and 15 teams.
The UConn team will consist of 5 School of Business (graduate and undergraduate) students guided by Prof. Anh Tran who will compete against other universities in the area and will have the chance to:
- Analyze a public company
- Be mentored by investment management professionals
- Write an equity research report
- Present their research to a high-profile panel of experts
- Advance to Regional and Global levels of competition if they win the local challenge

The 2024 Department of Student Activities Leadership Conference, themed "Leadership is YOU: Mind Mapping your Potential," aims to empower student leaders, staff, and faculty by fostering personal and professional growth through a series of interactive sessions, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities. The primary objective of this event is to enhance participants' leadership skills, promote inclusivity and belonging, and encourage mindfulness and professional branding. By providing a comprehensive and engaging experience, the conference seeks to inspire attendees to unlock their full potential and develop into effective and mindful leaders within the university community and beyond.

Come learn about the Summer Global Emerging Technology and Innovation program in Australia and New Zealand.
On this program, students will explore Global Emerging Technology and Innovation through a combination of teaching methods. The course consists of portions of asynchronous work pre- and post- an abroad experience that explores how progress in technology and business is pursued outside the United States. Students will travel to immerse themselves in a different culture to challenge their own conceptions of what progress looks like.
Students will earn BADM 4895: Special Topics: Global Emerging Technology and Innovation (3 credits) on this program.

Need help putting together a pitch deck for a class or editing a report? Don't understand your assignment guidelines, or aren't sure how to get started on a project? Schedule a 20-minute virtual meeting with the Business Communication Lab.
The material you would like to review with us must be assigned by a current course in the School of Business. Upon registering for your appointment, you will be requested to provide the assignment guideline sheet and other necessary documents for the Lab staff to fully understand the scope of the task or project.
