SCHOOL-WIDE NEWS

What is Rock Your School Day?

Rock Your School Day is an educational movement that empowers educators worldwide to create engaging and rigorous lessons for their students. This will be MCA’s 2nd year embracing this event with school-wide thematic units, classroom transformations, STEM projects, and experiences aligned to a common theme. Rock Your School Day is Friday, September 27th, but we will be celebrating all week!

The MCA PBIS Store will launch on Monday, September 23rd! The store will look different than last year. This year, the store will only be open for purchases the last week of every month. If your child would like to purchase from the store, they will need to download the STUDENT APP. Your child can log in using their Clever Badge IDs. The store will open on Monday morning and close Friday afternoon. All items purchased will be filled in the month of October. Remember, they do not have to use all their points in the month of September. There will be many upcoming events and additional items to the store this school year they may want to save for! If you have any troubles logging in, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher.

PTA NEWS

Buddy A Thon starts tomorrow!  This year’s theme is “Be a Buddy, Not a Bully”! For the next two weeks, students have an opportunity to raise money to earn their very own “Buddy” and learn what it means to be a Buddy and not a Bully. All money raised will be used for technology, materials for Related Arts & Elective Teachers, and instructional resource materials.

Only Two Steps:

1. Register student online to begin receiving donations

2. Turn in Golden ticket/ coupon for prizes

Students can pick and help 'build our own' huggable, lovable Buddy at the Buddy Stuffing Event Day. With $65 in donations raised they can earn a Buddy! And with additional donations, they can even earn outfits for our Buddy! And if $275 is raised, a Buddy will be donated to Wolfson's Children's Hospital in your name!

Information will be sent home Monday!!!

Join us for a magical night! Harry Potter trivia will be October 4th at 6-830p in the MCA Cafe. Registration closes on September 30th! Click the link to register!
