Conduct Corner: Respect Shared Spaces

Common room furniture and kitchen appliances are provided for the use and enjoyment of everyone who lives on your floor or in your building, for the larger common rooms. When the furniture, microwave and other kitchen equipment remains where it was placed by Residence Life and Services at the start of the year, it allows you and your community to enjoy fun events, meetings and other activities in the common room.

Please keep in mind that relocating common room furniture or being in possession of common room furniture in your room is a violation of the Residence Contract, 4.10.11. Whether you moved it there, or you allowed someone to put it in your room and you kept it there, it is your responsibility.

If you think your common room needs more furniture, talk to your Don, who can pass along your feedback. If you notice that items are missing from your common room, please submit a Maintenance Request Order.
