The Parkinson's Support Group meets on the second Thursday each month at 2:00 p.m. The meeting is open to YMCA members & non-members. Caregivers are encouraged to attend. If you or someone you know has Parkinson's, there is a Parkinson's Combination Exercise Class and Speech Therapy Class that meets every Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 in the YMCA's downstairs group fitness room. There are chair exercises for the body and speech exercise to strengthen the voice and the muscles used for swallowing. The class is free.

The Grove Area Chamber Ambassadors held a Ribbon Cutting Friday, September 27th for Hero's Deli, 718 S. Main St. in Grove. Owner, Frank Kole, spoke of his passion for making the same traditional Hero's that he learned to make in upstate New York when he was a teenager. He and his wife, Robin, are excited to be in the Grove area and to be able to offer great food to the community and a safe place for their employees to work. Stop by and have an authentic massive hero sandwich on fresh baked bread!

McCorkle Family Farms

A Ribbon Cutting was held by the Grove Area Chamber Ambassadors Friday, September 27th, for McCorkle Family Farms, a new Pumpkin Patch and family fun farm! It is located at 65692 E. 280 Rd, off of Hwy 10. What a beautiful place they have created with all kinds of fun things for kids to do! The Grand Opening was Saturday 28th 10:00-6:00 and Sunday 29th 12:30-6:00. The McCorkle family, Jared, Rachel, and their children, Jackson, James, and Kristin, moved to the area from Houston and are so excited to offer their new endeavor to the community!
