Congratulations to Ndudi Chuku, Mission Africa's Executive Director for being awarded the Executive Director Sabbatical grant by the BIPOC ED Coalition of Washington State. Ndudi has not taken a vacation since 2014. It is long overdue, and we are confident that with rest we will gain back a well-rested and rejuvenated leader with renewed vision and focused energy to continue the great work that Mission Africa is doing to serve our community.

Normally I just volunteer to help with Smiles at Christmas on the day of the event, but today I got to see a fraction of how much work is involved in the planning and preparation. We spent several hours going from store to store to find 700 coats! We didn't get that many today, but what we did get, we took to the cleaners. ." - Lynda Bannan Avery.
