Bills to be aware of next Friday

Our legislative all stars Sen. Hughes and Rep. Jetton will be joining us once again to provide updates next Friday. I'm just so thankful for these two. They generously take time away from their busy schedule to provide us with these insider updates. I sure hope you take advantage of this amazing resource and plan to join us next week!

Sen. Hughes will be our key note speaker and will be briefing us on the details of three bills. There is a redistricting bill that everyone needs to be aware of, SJR 12. The Democrats just can't pass up an opportunity for mischief. And speaking of mischief, there are a couple of different Democrat efforts underway. One bill would eliminate the electoral college and another would establish ranked choice voting. Sen. Hughes, along with Rep. Jetton, will be on to give us the latest on what the Democrats are up to and what Republicans are doing to push back.

Classified Documents Found At Biden Home

Last week it was revealed that a batch of classified documents was discovered at Joe Biden's office in the Penn-Biden Center and two more batches were discovered in his Wilmington, DE home and garage. 

What you need to know:

• In September, Joe Biden was asked about classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, to which he said, “how could that possibly happen? How anyone could be that irresponsible…what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?” 
• It turns out he was describing himself. 
• Last week, it was discovered Joe Biden stored classified material in a folder marked “personal.” 
• Hours after it was revealed classified documents were found at the Penn-Biden Center days before the midterm elections, it was revealed two more batches of classified documents were found in his garage and at his Wilmington, DE home. 
• The White House refused to say how classified documents got into a Biden folder marked “personal” or if any more classified documents were “misplaced.
• Biden’s team also refused to explain why the lawyers who found the classified documents were rifling through Biden’s closets in the first place.
• Not only that, we know that Hunter Biden and Jay Leno’s film crew had access to the garage.
• Joe Biden has answered more questions about the Mar-a-Lago documents than his own. Why is Biden waiting to be transparent? 
• Why was news of Joe Biden’s classified documents swept under the rug for months?
• The American people deserve answers, and Biden should be asked again and again until he answers them.

The bottom line:

The American people deserve better than a double standard. Joe Biden and his administration should be held accountable for this hypocrisy, the delay in notification of finding the documents, and his mismanagement of classified information. 

Prices Continue To Soar

As the cost of living continues to rise and real wages continue to fall, Americans are struggling to keep up. This is the cost of Democrats' recklessness. 

What you need to know:

• December’s Consumer Price Index soared by 6.5% compared to last year, remaining excessively high.
• Fuel oil is up 41.5%; 
• Transportation is up 14.6%; 
• Electricity is up 14.3%; 
• Food at home is up 11.8%; 
• Food away from home is up 8.3% 
• Shelter is up 7.5%; 
• New cars are up 5.9%; 
• Medical care is up 4.1%. 
• December’s Producer Price Index rose by 6.2% since last year.
• This marks the 21st straight month that wholesale inflation has been above 5% year-over-year. 
• Real average hourly earnings fell 1.7% since last year, marking the 21st month in a row under Biden in which inflation has outpaced wages.
• Real wages have fallen every month since Biden and Democrats passed their wasteful $1.9 trillion “stimulus.”
• Already Republicans are taking steps to address this. 
• Recently, the new House Republican majority voted to repeal funding for Biden’s 87,000 IRS agents and to block efforts to increase audits of middle-class families.

The bottom line:

American families are suffering under Biden’s failed economic agenda of higher taxes, soaring inflation, shrinking savings, and falling real wages. Luckily with a new Republican majority in the House and strong state Republican leadership, Biden and Democrats will be held accountable for their out-of-control spending.
