Mark your calendars. Hosting is back!

Colombia hosting is back in the summer of 2023!! We know it seems far away, but it will be here before we know it, and we must submit completed home studies for host families, so now is the time to get started.

We are actively recruiting qualified families in Utah, PA, NJ, and IL to host a child from Colombia in Summer 2023. “Did you say UTAH?” Yes! We said Utah! We are so excited to bring this life-changing opportunity to even more families with this expansion, which is available only because MAA is working with several strong partners. The children available are generally at least 10 years old, with minor medical needs. Hosting is a wonderful opportunity for your family to explore another culture and consider adopting an older child! For more information, please email Misty Lucas.

The country has a beautifully diverse culture and the children are of Hispanic, African, Indian, or mixed-race heritage. The children generally receive excellent medical care, but need a forever family to give them the individual love and attention they deserve. If you are unable to host, but want to adopt, learn more about our program here.

Give towards mobility devices today!

Mobility Devices are often a need for kids who are waiting for a family. A mobility device gives hope, independence, and community. It gives a first dance, it opens the door for new friendships, it opens up the whole wide world! It's our dream to be able to provide more for the kids in our programs. Please remember Madison Adoption Associates during this giving season, and open the world for a child in need.

An Unexpected Gift

An Unexpected Gift was written by an MAA adoptive family! It tells of the journey of adopting their oldest son and their return to the Philippines and the children's home he lived in. All proceeds go to Helping Hands Healing Hearts in the Philippines. Check it out, support a great ministry, and give the gift of an incredible adoption story this holiday!

MAA Sponsors Domestic Adoption Training to Strengthen and Increase Domestic Adoptions Overseas!

In November, MAA staff members Misty Lucas and Adriana Chaves travelled to Ecuador and provided staff training to 51 child welfare professionals to train them in assessing and preparing prospective adoptive parents in their countries. We were honored to have this opportunity to train and educate professionals working in Ecuador’s child welfare system in order to help promote safe and viable domestic adoptions. Many of the countries we work in do not have a formal domestic adoption process in place, so we are thrilled to be able to have a crucial part in helping them put appropriate rules and regulations in place in order to promote adoptions within their country. This is MAA’s second time offering this training and our hope is to continue this educational program to additional groups in Ecuador as well as other countries. MAA is proud to focus on multiple ways to increase permanency options in children’s’ birth countries as well assisting with placements in families here in the USA!

Families home in November!

Madison Adoption Associates will be closed for the holidays December 23rd-January 1st. We will reopen our offices on Monday, January 2nd.

If you are not in a position to adopt right now, but still feel compelled to help this holiday season, please know that you can always make a donation directly to Madison Adoption Associates. Your generous gift will be directed where it is needed most, whether that be to provide food and medical services to vulnerable children both domestically and internationally, to support MAA’s growing therapeutic support services for adoptive and foster families, to help ease the financial burden for adoptive families, and/or many other areas where MAA serves deserving children. So please – consider making a tax-deductible donation today, so that children around the world may have a chance for a brighter tomorrow.
