December is just days away-and though you've probably been hearing "Jingle Bells" since the day after Halloween, now's the time when the holidays really kick into high gear. Kindergarten Registration Time

Starting school is an important time in a child’s life and children’s readiness for school is important to us.

Kindergarten registration begins in January – April, depending on your school district.

Registering early allows the teachers, principals, and school districts several opportunities to connect with you and your child before school begins and allows them the opportunity to plan for the upcoming school year.

Visit our website to find out more information about transitioning to Kindergarten and lots of FAQs. There you will find a brief overview of the districts in Livingston County.

BIG CHANGES - Great Start Collaborative Updates, Winter 2023

Great Start Livingston is excited to share our new structure with you.

Our three new workgroups are:

  • Physical Well-Being
  • Social Emotional Well-Being
  • Early Language and Literacy Development

The Great Start Collaborative will meet 4 times a year.

Each meeting will be held at Livingston ESA from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. noon.

The upcoming dates are:

  • Wednesday, March 15
  • Wednesday, May 24
  • Wednesday, August 30

Our purpose is building community connections that support families with young children. We will carry out this purpose by convening families of young children and community partners who are engaged with families of young children in order to understand each other’s work, identify gaps and reduce duplication in service being provided in our community.  We believe that we are stronger together.
