Tahoma Starts the Year Strong πŸŽ‰
On Thursday, Sept. 1, Tahoma students in first through twelfth grade walked into their school buildings full of excitement, energy and a desire to learn. Teachers, administrators and school staff greeted students as they arrived, and of course, many students were eager to stop for a photo op or two! Our amazing kindergartners arrived for their first day of school on Wednesday, Sept. 7 and we are so excited to welcome them to their new school!

Check out these first-day photos of some of our remarkable Tahoma Family members!
U.S. Rep. Kim Schrier Talks Mental Health With Tahoma Students, Staff
Last month, U.S. Representative Dr. Kim Schrier visited Tahoma High School for a roundtable discussion on the impacts of mental health and to hear firsthand from Tahoma students the positive impact programs like SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment/Services) have on student outcomes. Students and district personnel discussed the value of putting student voices at the center of the mental health conversation.
Tahoma Bears "Kick Off" A New Season
The Tahoma Bears are hitting the road for their first away football game of the season. On Saturday, first-year head coach Zach Myers and the Tahoma Bears travel to Bothell to take on Woodinville High School at Pop Keeney Stadium (5 PM kickoff). The student-athletes and Coach Myers weigh in on what makes this team, and this season, so special.
Our district has expanded critical education programs and staffing that will not only support recovery learning, but are also enhancing the education of all Tahoma students to prepare them for Future Ready lives after graduation. Many of these programs and personnel are either not funded, or not fully funded, by state and federal funding, and are significantly supported by your levy investment.
