The TAF and TAC guide CEQA transportation impact analysis and how to analyze induced travel associated with transportation projects on the State Highway System.


The draft second editions of the TAF and TAC clarify and consolidate the guidance previously shared in our hot topics and internal bulletins, integrating over three years of updates and lessons learned from Senate Bill 743 implementation on the State Highway System.


Consistent with Executive Order N-2-24 and other state policies, implementation of SB 743 continues to support the state’s commitment to reducing vehicle miles traveled and greenhouse gas emissions by promoting multimodal transportation networks and encouraging infill development.
