SPRING INTO THE FUN

We’re excited to welcome everyone back to school tomorrow! There are many fun activities planned for our kiddos in the coming weeks—we can't wait to share. Read on for all the details and spring into the fun with us!

STEAM & LITERACY NIGHT IS HERE!

Wednesday, April 2

5:00 - 7:30pm

Pinecrest Elementary - Entrance on SW 57th Avenue

STEAM and Literacy Night is HERE! This event is a joint labor of love presented by the Pinecrest Elementary School administration, teachers, and the Pinecrest Elementary PTA. On this night, we open our school doors for students and parents to experience the joy of learning...just like our children do each and every day!

How does the event work?

Our committee has put together an extensive list of showcases, performances, and activities for our students and families to enjoy. The idea is to make sure that we highlight all aspects of STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics - as well as well as the importance of Literacy in everyday learning.

THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO...WE KNOW! Our flyer below highlights each of the learning areas you will find at the event. We anticipate that you may not be able to visit everything, and that's okay! With a school as large as Pinecrest Elementary and with an incredibly engaged and present population, our goal is to make sure that there is something for everyone all while spreading our guests throughout the campus so your valuable time is spent having fun, not waiting in lines. We encourage you to read all the details below and plan ahead using the listed times and recommended age ranges for each learning station.

STEAM and Literacy Night is intended for you to experience WITH your child. In fact, CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT throughout the duration of the event.

Where do we park and enter the event?

Please park around the perimeter of the school remembering to always be kind to our neighbors. For safety reasons, the school will not open the fields for parking as it sometimes does for events. Entrance to STEAM and Literacy Night is through SW 57th Avenue ONLY.

Is there a cost for the event?

This evening is FREE and a great way to see what makes Pinecrest the best school around! Pizza and snacks will be available for purchase while supplies last (CASH ONLY) and Kona Ice will be onsite to keep us cool while we STEAM!

WEDNESDAY DINNER, CHECK!

No plans for dinner this Wednesday? We've got you covered! Support our fifth grade class at their Pizza & Bake Sale during STEAM and Literacy Night. Cash only please.

BOOK FAIR

Both teachers and students are getting excited for next week’s Book Fair! Be sure your child is ready with their eWallet set up so they can shop for books smoothly.

SCHOOL STORE UPDATE

Beat next year's uniform rush and purchase your uniform shirts from the School Store before they run out! While we will be transitioning to a new uniform provider, we still have inventory available for purchase. Click below to place an order.

DONUTS WITH DAD IS ON APRIL 23RD

Calling all father figures! This beloved event is not one to be missed, so mark your calendars and get ready for donuts and quality time with your kiddo!

PTA NOMINATING COMMITTEE

The time is quickly approaching to vote for our 2025-2026 PTA Board members, but before that, we need your help to select a slate of parents to present for a vote at our next general PTA meeting, May 21st. If you're interested in serving on the Nominating Committee or would like more information, please email pesnomcom@gmail.com. The deadline to sign up for the Nominating Committee is April 7th at 12 PM.

Important Reminder: To vote on the board members at the general PTA meeting, you must be a registered member of the PTA. Click here to register as a PTA member.
