September 19, 2024 - September 22, 2024

An in-person, immersive forest education program sponsored by the New Jersey Forestry Association, the NJ State Forest Service and Rutgers Cooperative Extension.

The New Jersey Woodland Stewards Program was created for those who embrace a forest stewardship ethic, want to learn more about issues affecting our forests and sustainable forest management, and are willing to share what they learn with others through follow-on volunteerism.

Location

The 2024 program will be held at YMCA Camp Linwood MacDonald, One Flatbrook Road, Sandyston, New Jersey, (near Stokes State Forest) in beautiful Sussex County.

This year's 3-1/2 day in-person immersive learning program - both classroom and in-the-field - offers a diverse and exciting agenda, presented by an array of forest experts.

Program Begins: Thursday, September 19 - 4pm arrival and check-in

Program Ends: Sunday, September 22 - 3pm departure

Each participant is expected to attend for the entire program. Lodging is on-site in one of the camp's lodges.

Registration

The $95 subsidized registration fee covers all education sessions, all meals (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch), and camp lodging .
