🌟 Scholarship Spotlights🌟
Amount: $750-1,800
Number of Recipients: 500
Applications Open: Now Application Closes: August 16

The Merit, Bursary, Scholarship and Bridging Awards are available to select students who demonstrate leadership capabilities and strive to be role models in their school and community. For students in grade 10-12 

🎓 Eligibility Requirements:
  • Self-identify as Indigenous in Canada (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis); 
  • Are enrolled full-time in junior/senior high school (including upgrading) or an accredited post-secondary institution or training/certificate program; 
  • Are not a child of an ATCO employee. 


Amount: $2,500

Haywood | Hunt & Associates Inc. is now accepting applications for their annual scholarship program for the upcoming school year. This scholarship is available to Canadian students, and the chosen student will be awarded a $2,500 grant towards their education. 
  
Haywood | Hunt believes that working hard and striving to be the best you can be is vital to success in business and in life. They also understand and remember the financial strains that seeking a higher education can place on individuals. With this scholarship, they hope to make things a little easier along the way. 
 

🎓 Eligibility:
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or other legal standing that allows them to study in Canada.
  • Accepted or enrolled in a Canadian college or university for the 2024/2025 school year. 

Amount: $2,000

This award is an opportunity for students who want to make a difference. Change happens when we raise our voices, so share your thoughts on acting toward an issue you care about for a chance to win $2,000 to help pay for school. In one sentence or less, answer the question: 

“What change do you want to see in the world?” 

🎓Eligibility
  • Students, 16 years of age or older. 
  • Current registered student in good standing at a university, college, CEGEP, or high school / secondary school in Canada. 
  • Legal residents of Canada who reside in any province or territory within Canada. 
  • No essays or GPA required.

SCHOLARSHIP RESOURCES

ScholarTree is an online platform that helps students pay for their education through scholarships by helping students find and apply to scholarships and helping Companies/Individuals start their own scholarship.

On this website you will find useful list of scholarships in Alberta for graduating high school students.







ScholarshipsCanada.com is part of the SchoolFinder Group. The site has been helping students find scholarships since 1997. Their mission is to help students realize their dreams by making it possible for students to attend the school of their choice without being limited by the cost.

The website lists all relevant scholarships and bursaries free of charge. They try to update each listing annually and students are matched to scholarships and bursaries when they create an account.
Students in foundational learning or skills development programs may qualify for funding to cover education and living costs.

Foundational Learning Assistance helps you:
  • Improve English language skills
  • Complete academic upgrading for a high school diploma or post-secondary prerequisites
  • Gain in-demand skills for employment

This monthly financial award is based on household financial need and covers:
  • Educational costs: tuition, mandatory fees, student association fees, and books and supplies
  • Living costs: food, clothing, personal needs, transportation, rent/mortgage, and utilities

Eligibility:
  • Enrolled in an approved program for Foundational Learning Assistance
  • 18 years of age or 16-17 under certain circumstances (see policy manual)
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected person legally entitled to work and study in Canada
  • Valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)

Residency:
  • Established Alberta address
  • In Alberta at the time of acceptance into the program
  • Border community residents are considered residents of their home postal code province/territory

Employment Status:
  • Unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week

Over 40 educational providers in Alberta offer approved programs, including public post-secondary institutions, private career colleges, First Nations colleges, and non-profit organizations. Contact institutions directly to check program approval for Foundational Learning Assistance.
