"Your body can stand almost anything. It's your mind that you have to convince." Unknown

Cheryl Davee- Encinitas

Chris Zimmerman- Carlsbad

Sending love from Thursday Boot Camp! This was our best attended class so far as we move into Spring! Great to see everyone back, plus it's so much more fun with a big group with a common goal. Fitness is not a destination, it's our way of life.

Our Mortality Talks get together at Tori's was very thought provoking, and it was interesting to hear different perspectives on end of life choices by the 15 who attended. The discussion was facilitated by Last Acts of Love-Mel McClave, a local death doula. She was so respectful and well informed on everything from life sustaining measures, to support and resources available to help with end of life decisions. We enjoyed savory and sweet treats, and left with an advanced planning guide and toolkit.

Of course we lined up for a photo after the presentation. It was so helpful to have Susan Klein, our medical advisor (far right) in attendance. With her extensive knowledge as an oncology NP, and having been present at several end of life transitions, she was able to offer so much real life experience to our conversations.

Join us for a Party Game and Potluck!

Tori's home- 1809 Sienna Canyon Dr. Encinitas

SAVE THE DATE:

MAY 15th 3-5pm

BEST STORY WINS!

We will draw a card from a deck, read aloud and each player will share their best true story for that card in less than a minute, to keep the game moving. If you don't have a story, you just pass. After all stories for that prompt have been shared, the group votes on the best story. Whoever gets the most votes keeps the card and gets a point. First player to 5 points WINS! Prizes for game winner and the tastiest dish that will be determined by an anonymous vote.

Thanks for Getting the Vote Out!

Voting for The Best of North County is now live and you are receiving daily reminders to vote through April 11th. There is more competition this year so your perseverance is appreciated.
