Weather Decisions 

Soon the winter season will be upon us. At this time I wanted to provide a reminder of our 2 and 3 hour delay times. Below please find the start times for schools if a 2 or 3 hour delay is needed.

AMD Midterm and NWEA Winter Benchmark Assessments

Students enrolled in Algebra {Grade 8) will have an in-class midterm exam on Tuesday, January 24th. Students will report to school at their regular time and go to their assigned testing room. All other students will continue with their regularly scheduled classes on this day.


Students enrolled in Earth Science (Grade 8) will have a midterm exam on Thursday, January 26th. Students should arrive at school on time and will report to their first period class to receive their testing location. All other students will continue with their regularly scheduled class on this day.


In-class NWEA. assessments will be given as part of the regular school day and your child's schedule for that day will not change. Below are the dates that the English Language Arts and Math subject areas will be giving their benchmark assessments

  •  English Language Arts (7th Grade)

Monday, Jan. 23, Tuesday, Jan. 24, and Wednesday, Jan. 25th

  • Math (7th Grade)

Wednesday, Jan.25, Thursday, Jan.26, Friday, Jan.27

  • English Language Arts (6th Grade)

Monday, Jan.30, Tuesday, Jan.31, Wednesday, Feb.1

  • Math (6th Grade)

Wednesday, Feb 1, Thursday, Feb 2, Friday, Feb 3

  •  English Language Arts (8th Grade)

Monday, Feb. 6, Tuesday, Feb 7, Wednesday, Feb 8

In preparation for the NWEA assessments, students should make sure to do the following:

  • bring in headphones that are compatible with their Chromebook. The headphones must be plug-in and not Bluetooth.
  • bring their Chromebook (charged) and Chromebook charger on these days.

Please remind your students to be kind to their Chromebook. Please use the case provided, charge it regularly and to keep their Chromebook secured at all times.
