The Influence of Early Experience on Stress Physiology: Life Course Implications

Dr. Leslie Atkinson is a professor of Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. Dr. Atkinson has had a distinguished career as a clinician and administrator in developmental and psychiatric settings. His research centers on early experiences and biopsychosocial development. A prolific author, he has published over 190 articles and book chapters and edited two books on attachment theory.

From Thrills to Skills: Fostering Emotion Regulation Among Youth

Dr. Jennine Rawana is a faculty member in Psychology at York University. Her research interests are in adolescent and emerging adult emotion regulation, well-being, and mental health, including those from vulnerable populations including child welfare and first-generation youth (e.g., first in their family to attend post-secondary education).
