Councilmember Belinda Livingstone




Belinda Livingstone took the oath of office as City Councilmember at the November 28, 2022, Special City Council Meeting. The vote to appoint Councilmember Livingstone was to fulfill the term of Glenn Gunn who had recently resigned. Her term will be until the next City election in March 2024.

at the Community Center was a huge success. Food and Beverages were served and the Tree was ceremoniously lit by Mayor Dave Gattis. Residents showed their generosity again with donations of gifts and toys to Toys for Tots. The pictures below show just how much everyone enjoyed the event!

Life is Good in Belleair Beach!
The competition was "hot" at the 1st Annual Chili Cook-Off. Prizes included personalized wooden spoons for Chili recipe categories, Amazon gift cards, a stand-up paddle board, the 50/50 Raffle, a beach umbrella, and Belleair Beach logo beach towels.

CITY PROJECTS
BOAT RAMP AND SEAWALL PROJECTS
The 7th Street Seawall Renovation, 7th Street Boat Ramp Replacement, and 16th Street Seawall Renovation Projects are nearly complete. The contractor is returning to make some adjustments to the riprap and clean up the sites. City staff will grade and restore the sod in the two parks. The replacement of the 7th Street Park fishing dock has been approved and is scheduled immediately following boat ramp wrap up.

12TH STREET, 13TH STREET, AND BAY DRIVE PROJECT
The stormwater improvement project for 12th Street, 13th Street, and Bay Drive is projected to wrap up in early January. Milling of the roadway was completed on Monday, December 19th and the asphalt is currently scheduled for Wednesday, December 21st, weather permitting. The two pipe segments running under private property to respective seawalls will be inspected for any needed repairs next week.

Volunteers Clean Up the Beach and the Holiday Donuts!
Our Volunteers had a jam-packed year with a never-ending job.
Thank you ALL so much for keeping the beach clean and beautiful for ALL of us to enjoy!
If you would like to join in and be of service to your community, call Tammie at 219-707-3745 to volunteer, or just stop by the 19th Street Beach Access on the first Saturday of every month from 8am until 9am.

Bridge Clean-Up
*Save the Dates*
The Belleair Beach Causeway Bridge clean-up will be on the 3rd Saturday of every quarter in 2023 from 9am-11am. Please meet at City Hall to check in. Garbage bags and gloves will be supplied.

City Manager Kyle Riefler

City Council has appointed Kyle Riefler as City Manager, he was sworn in on November 28, 2022. Mr. Riefler has a diverse background in municipal government and has been with the City of Belleair Beach for 4+ years.
