Dear Valued Families,

As we enter this year’s flu season, and with Covid-19 still very much present in our community, Providence is continuing to maintain its original masking policy. We are asking people to wear masks in our community locations, in our vehicles, and in the community where social distancing is not possible.

As a reminder, Providence follows guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA), the Maryland Department of Health and our elected officials regarding our operations. Our safety process includes masks, thorough cleanings, proper hand washing and social distancing, where appropriate.

If your family member is sick, we ask that they stay home, and that they follow instructions from their health care provider regarding when to return to Providence.

Following are links from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with more information on the flu and Covid-19 and things you can do to protect yourself like getting your annual flu vaccine and staying up to-date with your Covid-19 boosters | CDC: Influenza (Flu) | CDC: About COVID-19

Please contact your Case Manager with any questions and continue monitoring communications from Providence for any updates.

Thanks to all of you for your cooperation as we work together to support each person to live their best life each day!

Sincerely,

Karen Adams-Gilchrist
