YOUR TRUE IDENTITY

Some may call you by your given name at birth, like mine is Helen. Others may call you “mother” or “father” sister, or brother. Some may call you friend, and some may call you enemy.

The greatest name you can be called is Christian. What does this really mean beyond being born again? It means you take on the identity of Jesus because you are “in him” and He is “in you.” Being in Christ in us enables us to become more like him. 

Father God sees us in Christ and accepts the new identity. As we daily are led by the Spirit, and deny the flesh, we become more and more like Jesus. He is our peace, our hope, our healer, our joy, our all in all.

This is your true identity. You no longer are just a sinner saved by grace. You have a new nature, and now wear the robe of righteousness Jesus gave you at salvation. You are a joint heir with Jesus. What is his is yours. He takes your sin and gives you his righteousness. This new identity is what gives you the victory.

Never look at yourself again as just someone that is of low degree. You have been given the nature of God through salvation. As you take in daily the Word of God, your new nature grows and your old nature acquiesces to it. Oh to know how much God longs to give his children all he has makes one rejoice and become passionate in your relationship with him.

You are a new creation! You have a new identity! Don’t let Satan lie to you anymore. You are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus.

There is no time like the present to do what God has told you to do. If you aren't hearing from God perhaps you need to do the last thing he told you to do. He gives instructions and if you don't carry them out, there will be no further ones given.
