Prayer Initiatives 2023

January

We are asking you, Legacy Church, to join us in prayer all year long. Each month throughout 2023, we will focus on specific prayer initiatives for our church to pray over, together. In January, our prayer focus is Salvations and Baptisms.

Salvation simply denotes “Deliverance”. The spiritual deliverance from sin and death through our Lord and Savior (Matthew 1:21) is core to the heart of God. The Father does not want anyone to perish, but that all will come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). He made our salvation possible through the blood of Christ on the cross of Calvary (1 Thessalonians 5: 9-10). This salvation is available to all.

Evangelism Tools

Evangelism is for everyone (or rather, for every Christian to take up the task). Yet, in spite of how clear Jesus is on this (Mark 16:15; Matthew 5:15-16; Matthew 28:19-20; John 15:8; Acts 1:8; etc), a majority of believers never share their faith.

Personal Evangelism Class

Registration

Join us for this hands-on 2-session class where Pastor Patrick will lead our class conversation, discussion, and training on Personal Evangelism. We will talk about how to take our personal evangelism to the next level in this modern age and discover key do’s and don'ts when it comes to evangelism.

We must be up for the challenge because that is what Jesus has commissioned us to do.

Sessions will be before church service from 8:45-10:15 am., Adult Classroom 124. Session one is on Sunday, 01/15. Session two is on Sunday, 01/22.

Baptist Student Ministry (BSM)

Legacy Church is hosting the BSM free lunch outreach for international students on the UTD campus on Tuesday, January 31st. BSM makes it very easy to serve. Join us! You can help plate the food, or serve as a table host. They even provide table questions to help the hosts get the lunch conversations going!

A "Cup of Coffee" and Mission Trip Information

Registration

Join us for a cup of coffee on Sunday, February 5th for the next mission trip informational meeting.

We will meet in the Conference Room, before the church service, at 9 am. If you have any interest in going on mission in 2023, you won't want to miss this meeting.

The next trip targeted for 2023 is to Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico for Heart4Mexico.
