Earlier this month, a Caring Partners healthcare team ministered with our church partners in western Belize. The team served in Belmopan, the capital city of Belize, with Pastor Sonny and his church, and also in the community of Bullet Tree, on the edge of the large city of San Ignacio, with Pastor Junior, his wife, and their growing congregation.
CPI Board Member Rick Lalli and his wife Jenny led the healthcare team. They were joined by CPI's Guatemalan National Director Helmuth Marroquin, who made the 12-hour drive from Guatemala City to serve alongside the mission team and our two church partners. Healthcare needs in Belize are great, and it was a blessing for our team to treat 630 patients and 95 of those dear souls made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ during our ministry time with our pastors and their congregation in our Clinic of the Soul. We praise God for the privilege of serving in His Name!

Our Thailand Eyeglass Ministry -
Opening the Eyes of the Hmong People
| |
Even when a Caring Partners healthcare team is not on the ground in Thailand, CPI's National Director Pastor Jay Orata and his church continue our ministry's vision of Evangelism Through Medicine by conducting eyeglass clinics in Thailand.
On Valentine's Day, the church traveled eight hours through the night to a Hmong village in the Tak Province. Many of the Hmong people in this part of Thailand are refugees from Burma and are not Thai citizens, and therefore have no access to healthcare or any social services. The church worked with missionaries new to the Tak area. The missionaries speak a Hmong dialect called White Hmong, whereas the villagers speak Green Hmong, a different dialect. The villagers were very resistant to the new missionaries, but prayers were answered, and almost 200 came to the clinic to receive vision screenings and new glasses. The eyeglass clinic broke down the barriers between the villagers and the missionaries, and they were able to communicate clearly with each other, despite the dialect differences. In fact, by God's grace, 30 members of the Green Hmong community came to faith in Christ during the Clinic of the Soul, and our now connected with the new church work for baptism and discipleship - to God be the glory, great things He has done!
"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins,..." Acts 26:18

We praise God for our upcoming April 10th Gala! So many plans are already in place, including bringing three of our young professionals from Guatemala here to share their hearts for the ministry with our Gala audience. Alex & Mehl Leal and Helmuth Marroquin will talk about how the ministry has provided opportunities for each of them to serve the Lord while serving the church and the people of Guatemala through CPI healthcare clinics.
We pray you will come join us - to support our ministry, and Alex, Mehl & Helmuth. Click on the link below to ask for more information about tickets, the auction, the program, and individual or corporate sponsorship - see you on April 10th!

Please pray for our healthcare mission team traveling to Guatemala on Friday, February 28th. Twenty-one team members will travel from the USA to serve with our Guatemalan church partner, national directors, volunteers, and healthcare providers in the community of Santa Lucia Milpas Altas.
Thirteen of the team members are students and professors from Cedarville University, traveling with Caring Partners during the University's Spring Break. Pray for traveling mercies and for the Holy Spirit to move and work, drawing hundreds of patients to our clinic, where all will hear the life-changing message of the Gospel!

Exciting news - our Thai National Pastor Jay Orata and his son Jacob will be traveling to the USA this summer!
Pastor Jay & Jacob will be here in Ohio in late June and early July, and again in mid-August. During their time in the USA, they will also be traveling to other parts of the eastern USA to visit friends and supporting churches.
Could you please join us in prayer for Pastor Jay & Jacob? They have several Sunday preaching engagements at different churches, but they do still have two Sundays free. Also, they are in need of a loaner car for about 6 weeks as they travel to various church engagements. Please pray for traveling mercies and for the Lord to provide for these specific needs.
Would you like to learn more about their schedule, or have a lead on a loaner vehicle? Please click on the button below - thanks for praying!
