Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and soon coming King!
We are back from our Zambia trip, and so full of all that God did, and is doing there in Zambia Africa and beyond! This was by far an amazing trip! To God be all the glory!
The first ever women's conference hosted at GCMS of Zambia Kafulafuta Baptist Mission.
Women traveled over 600 miles to hear the teaching of the Word of God!
These women, brought their children and essentials to sleep on the ground for 7 days! It was very humbling for our American ladies to witness the love, and passion these Zambian women have to listen to the teaching of the Word.
The conference theme was WANTED. Based off the Bible study my daughter Angela Morgan wrote. Here is a short summary of her book:
Many women struggle with insecurities, loneliness, and feelings of being unwanted, even in Zambia- but all throughout Scripture, the Lord is clearly drawing us to Himself. It is not because of anything we can do for Him or give to Him but simply because He loves us and wants us! He desires a true, deep, and intimate relationship with all of us. Wanted is a women’s Bible study centered upon the key verse of Song of Solomon 7:10: “I am my beloved’s and his desire is toward me” and anchored in John 4, the story of the woman at the well. This book serves as an encouraging reminder of God’s love and His desire to have an intimate, redeeming relationship with all who seek Him—even those who feel unworthy of His love. It is a life-changing study that shifts our gaze from wanting what Jesus can only give or do for us, to understanding that He is our reward and He alone is what satisfies our deepest longings. It's just Jesus.
The ladies taught the lessons from 9am until 9pm breaking for lunch, and dinner. Becky led the effort on the last day of the ladies conference to do a foot washing. As an example, to show the women that we need to be serving one another, as Jesus did. This was a beautiful display of Christs love to the women of Zambia, and it radically changed the hearts of our ladies that had the privilege to wash their feet. Every foot was prayed over to go and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The gospel was presented every session to 1,476 women that were in attendance, and out of those - 171 women were born again!
Ba lesa ba chindikwe!! - TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
