BIBLE STUDY ON ROMANS BEGINS IN SEPTEMBER
“It is impossible to read or to meditate on this letter too much or too well,”
wrote Martin Luther in 1522 in the preface to his commentary on the Letter
to the Romans. For Luther and for many other theologians and Biblical
scholars over the centuries, St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans is the very
heart of the gospel. Luther speaks for many when he writes, “This letter is
truly the most important piece in the New Testament.” Centuries later,
Swiss theologian Karl Barth’s rocked the world of theology in 1919 when
his Commentary on Romans was published.
So…what does this New Testament letter contain? Why is it so important
to our Christian faith? How do its truths apply in our day and age?
Come and find out when Father Frank Hebert leads a Bible Study on
Monday mornings at 10am at the Church beginning Monday, September 2.
You will be challenged intellectually by this densely written theological
treatise. You will be surprised by how it speaks to our modern age. And
you will be inspired to deeper faith and insight.
All are welcome, and there is no cost to participate, but please sign up by
