New Museum Pass Reservation Platform | Our Museum pass program allows residents with a valid adult Pelham library card to visit local museums in the area for free. Our museum passes can now be reserved digitally through this site. We have recently switched to this new platform which is easier to navigate. Some passes must be picked up and returned to the Library while others can be printed from home. Our reference librarians are ready to help you reserve your passes either in person or on the phone (914-738-1234). | |

English as a Second/Foreign Language (ESL) for Intermediate Students |
Join us for a series of ESL classes for adults with Pelham resident, EJ Sepp!
This class is intended for low-intermediate to advanced students who are learning English as a second or foreign language. (No beginners please!)
EJ Sepp has taught ESL for 20 years and is the co-author of English Express New York: A Cultural Reading & Writing Text for English Language Learners.
These classes are walk-ins that do not require preregistration or attending all sessions.

Pre SAT, ACT and College Essay Strategies for 9th-11th Graders |
Curious about how to set yourself up for success on the SAT and ACT in the years leading up to test prep? Overwhelmed by the idea of writing college essays and the timeline on how to prepare?
Join educator and counselor Emily Tuckman Bell for a power hour on the basics for 9th, 10th, and 11th graders to allay anxiety with manageable strategies to ease into preparing for college admissions tests and writing admissions essays. This program is for teens in 9th-11th grade but parents are welcome.

Cards for Cancer Patients |
In celebration of Valentine’s Day or simply as an act of kindness, we invite you to join Pelham Memorial High School students in making cards for cancer patients. The Cancer Support Team, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for patients and families affected by cancer in southern Westchester, will distribute these cards.

We are celebrating Black History all month! But what do you know about the "father of Black History?" 99 years ago, in February 1926, Dr. Carter G. Woodson launched the celebration of "Negro History Week," the precursor of Black History Month. Join us for this special Ranger Talk from the Carter G. Woodson Home National Historic Site in Washington, DC, to learn more about Dr. Woodson and the contributions he made to the study and celebration of Black history.

Crafty Adults: Felt Flowers |
Join our resident artist/instructor Sara Mallach this month as we brighten up the winter blahs with beautiful and colorful Ranunculus flowers made from felt. Attach a pin backing and you'll have a lovely accessory for your winter hat or coat.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover returns! Bring your favorite stuffed animal for a fun craft and bedtime story! Then, leave them for their overnight sleepover. When you pick them up on Thursday you'll get to hear all about what your stuffed animal friends were up to at the Library!

Join Lisa and her furry friend Freckle from The Good Dog Foundation for a special kind of Story Time. This time, it won't be adults reading to kids: it will be kids reading to dogs! Young readers ages six and up can sign up for 10-minute sessions, during which they will be able to read to Freckle, Lisa's adorable canine companion. This will give kids a safe space to become comfortable reading out loud.

Express Yourself! Music and Crafts for Neurodiverse Kids |
Music and art aren’t just fun: they can help kids to develop speech and language skills, reduce stress, and cope with all sorts of daily challenges. Join Concordia Conservatory student Shay Armand for expressive drawing, finger painting, sing-alongs, and more fun activities to promote learning and relaxation for children ages five and up!
Although this program is open to all children ages five and up, we would like to extend a special invitation to neurodiverse and intellectually disabled children.

Join us for our popular Story Time for infants and toddlers outside on our front lawn. Story Time is designed to enhance early literacy skills and features diverse children's books in which all children can see themselves represented... plus we have a lot of fun! Please bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Story Time will be held outdoors throughout the year, but will be cancelled on days when the temperature is above 90° or below 40°, or if it is raining.
