Holiday Buy Local Campaign

To encourage everyone to do their holiday shopping locally, the Pike County Chamber of Commerce is offering up to $500 in gift cards as prizes at the end of this campaign. To enter for a chance to win, follow the guidelines below:

Between Small Business Saturday (Nov. 26) and Christmas Day, any purchase(s) from a local business, restaurant, or attraction in Pike County, totaling at least $25, is eligible to enter.
Eligible purchases include items on your wish list, visits to local attractions, as well as gift cards/certificates to local businesses.
You may submit multiple entries.
To enter, provide your name, email, phone, and a copy of the receipt(s).
There are three ways to enter:

Office space available in the Pike County Chamber of Commerce building located on St. Rt. #104, in Waverly. The highly visible office suite is accessed through the front entrance lobby with approximately 1173 sq. ft. of available space. The front office is listed as 20’ X 36’ and the rear office as 12.5’ X 24’ and includes a separate Restroom and Utility Room. The large space is available for multiple work-spaces or as a large office and meeting room according to tenant needs. The rental agreement includes the scheduled use of a separate large conference room and refreshment area at no additional cost.

SULLY'S IN THE VALLEY RESTAURANT OPEN INTERVIEWS EVENT

The Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) at the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) will be hosting an Open Interview Event for Sully's In the Valley Restaurant on Monday, January 23rd from 3 to 5pm at the restaurant's location in Beaver (5642 Beaver Pike).

This event will provide job seekers with the opportunity to share their applicable skills and experience for the available positions which range from kitchen crew, servers, cashiers, and hosts to shift supervisors and management. Wages will be discussed during the interviews based on the experience and skillset of the job seekers.

Job seekers are welcome to visit the OMJ Career Center prior to the Open Interview Event to update resumes, receive interview tips and best-practices, and complete the application in advance. The Career Center is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.

Cyrus Named Director of

Business Management at AAA7

Karen Cyrus was recently named Director of Business Management at the Area Agency on Aging District 7 (AAA7).

Cyrus joins the AAA7 from TYKMA, Inc. in Chillicothe and Control Micro Systems, Inc. in Winter Park, FL, where she was the Chief Financial Officer managing all financial and treasury functions of the sister businesses. Other work experience includes Flour-BXWT in Piketon, where she served as the Controller; The Kitchen Collection in Chillicothe, where she was the Director of Finance and the Corporate Controller; and Ohio Precious Metals, LLC, in Jackson, where she served as Chief Financial Officer....
