Goodbye to a Board Member
On April 16 family and friends of Margo Scheuring, including fellow IEM board members, gathered at Joy of All Who Sorrow Eastern Orthodox Church to mark her passing and bid farewell. Margo served on the IEM Board for many years with great enthusiasm and loyalty. The 90-minute mass was a "sung-through" service with all the readings and prayers chanted by the cantor, Mary, and a choir of four other singers. Until her death, Margo had sung in that choir. It was touching to see the connection between Margo's love of early music and this early chant. We will remember Margo with fondness and gratitude.
