Toledo Museum of Art &

Glass Pavilion


The Toledo Museum of Art’s collection of more than 30,000 works of art ranks among the finest in the United States. In the more than 35 galleries, Sculpture Garden, and Glass Pavilion discover important, popular, and outstanding works of art.


Includes: motor coach transportation, docent guided highlights tour of the Toledo Museum of Art, docent guided tour of the Glass Pavilion, free time for a glass blowing demo, and free time for lunch on your own and visiting the gift shop.

Kalamazoo Air Zoo


This is a highly charged, multi-sensory atmosphere that goes beyond anything you’ve ever seen. The Air Zoo features amusement park-style rides, full-motion flight simulators, a 3D/4D Missions Theater, Magic Planet, Paratrooper Jump, as well as historical exhibits. It also displays the world’s only remaining SR-71B Blackbird and XP-55 Ascender.

The Wine Bus


This bus takes us down to the Irish Hills. Chateau Aeronautique Winery was founded in a hangar overlooking the runway in 2009. In 2017 they moved to a new 8,000 square foot facility on 28 acres in the Irish Hills. Located in an 1870’s Schoolhouse, Cherry Creek Cellars takes pride in Crafting Michigan-made wine, cider, and beer for everyone in a picturesque vineyard setting. You can find your “own” place among the lakes at The Winery North of 12. Come experience their unique tasting experience. Their spacious tasting room sits on 5 acres and has two large patios. 


Entree selection: Lasagna or Vegetarian Lasagna

Toledo Zoo & Aquarium


The Toledo Zoo and Aquarium is one of the tops in the country. The aquarium features 3,000+ aquatic animals in 178,000 gallons of water. The zoo houses an internationally-famous Hippoquarium®. Other exhibits that make this zoo special are Arctic Encounter, Frog Town, Cheetah Valley, and Primate Forest.

Mackinac Island/Grand Hotel 4 Day/3 Night Package


Includes: Accommodations (rooms are luck of the draw) at the Grand Hotel (including baggage handling). Three full breakfasts, lunch on arrival day, two buffet luncheons, afternoon tea and cookies, three five-course dinners, nightly demitasse and a complimentary champagne/wine reception. Motor coach transportation to and from the Delta 39’ers, ferry transportation to/from the island and horse drawn taxi to/from hotel and ferry dock. Special activities: horse drawn carriage tour of the island, lectures, fudge bingo, movies, tournaments, contests and much more. Most activities are free however, a few require a small fee. Do as much or as little as you like.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers


The focus of this workshop is to help caregivers take better care of themselves while caring for someone else. This workshop will benefit you whether you are caring for someone who lives at home, in a nursing home, or across the country. Topics include stress management, relaxation, communicating in challenging situations, dealing with difficult emotions such as anger, guilt, depression, and more.

Accepted Recycling Items 


Delta Township’s Recycling Center accepts the following products or materials to be recycled: cooking oil, polystyrene foam, household batteries (please tape the circuits on lithium, 9 volt, and larger batteries), cellular phones, ink cartridges, plastics with #1-7 symbol on the bottom, metals, clear and colored glass, paper, boxboard, CFL bulbs, and phone books. Please remove all lids and caps from plastic containers prior to recycling.


Not Accepted Items 


Pop or beer box containers, containers designed to go in the freezer or refrigerator, or plastic containers that hazardous waste comes in, such as motor oil or anti-freeze, are not accepted.

Christmas Tree

Recycling


Delta Township residents may dispose of their natural Christmas trees

December 26 through January 31

at the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Building, which is located on

Administration Drive.


Please remove

any Christmas lights, wires, string,

and ornaments from the tree. If

transporting the tree in a bag, please

remove the tree from the bag before

dropping it off.


The trees will be

chipped and used for various landscape projects around the township.

String Light Collection



December 14 - January 31

Recycling available during regular

hours of operation at the: Delta

Township Administration Building

and Delta Township Recycling Center. Available for string lights ONLY.

Both LED and Non-LED string lights

will be accepted. No other electrical

or electronic items will be accepted.

Yard Waste


Yard waste is not accepted during the winter months of December through

March. The yard waste bins at the recycling center are removed for the

winter. Yard Waste Recycling will be accepted starting April 19, 2023.
