MESSAGE FROM FR. JEFF

Hello everybody!

Congratulations to our graduates of the class of 2023! It was a great celebration last Wednesday. This is our final week of school and our last day will be Friday. It has been an amazing year and I am deeply grateful to all of our faculty, staff, families, and students and for the leadership of our principal, Dr. Nathan Sturtzel. Well done!

We had a good group for our New Parishioner Welcome on Sunday. It is always a joy to meet families who are choosing to make St. Pats their home. Thank you, as well, to you for the faith filled and welcoming community you create. A special thanks to the NPW team, staff, ministry leaders, and clergy for their intentional hospitality and good work!

As we celebrate Pentecost this weekend, I encourage you to offer a prayer for those to be selected as new members of the Parish Council and School Board. We will pull the names at the 11:00 a.m. mass. Also, wear something red!

Come, Holy Spirit, come!

Peace,

Fr. Jeff

The Precious Blood Distribution Returns

Archbishop Shelton Fabre has announced that the Archdiocese will reinstate permission to distribute the Precious Blood to the faithful from the Chalice at weekend Masses on the Feast of Corpus Christi, June 10-11, 2023. Since 1978, the Bishops of the United States have encouraged the distribution of the Precious Blood regularly, noting that this “is the fullest sign and most perfect fulfillment of what the Lord did and directed.” As always, reception from the Chalice is optional and those who are ill, infirm, or have compromised immune systems should be reassured that our Church also teaches that Jesus Christ is truly and wholly present under both species of bread and wine. Our parish and the Archdiocese, especially through The Record newspaper, is using this opportunity to provide you with renewed catechesis on the precious gift of Jesus Christ that we have been given in the Holy Eucharist.
