For Kid's Sake After School Program


Registration for the second semester of the 'For Kid’s Sake' After School Program is now open. This engaging program from January 9 - June 15 is offered at three locations:

  • Balderrama Recreation Center
  • Landes Community Center
  • Bishop Recreation Center

Participants can receive homework assistance, play games, and participate in crafts together. Our team strives to ensure the affordability and accessibility of the program to all families in Oceanside. Scholarships are also available to qualifying families. Register

Open Gym Times, Drop In and Play!


Drop in Open Gym is available at both the Junior Seau Beach Community Center and the Melba Bishop Recreation Center. It's a great opportunity for all ages to stay active, healthy, and enjoy a variety of sports. There are times available for pickup basketball, wheelchair sports, and pickleball. Students with school ID and those 65+ are free. Nominal fee for all others. Schedules here

Coming Soon...Cosmic Pickleball!


Beginning Monday, January 23, Parks & Recreation is hosting a new "Cosmic Pickleball" program at the Junior Seau Beach Community Center. This glow-in-the-dark pickleball experience will be held on a drop-in basis every Monday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Kids 12 and under and those with a school ID, along with those over the age of 65 get in free. Registration is now open for fun and active opportunities in the Winter Activity Guide. The Activity Guide offers a wide-range of recreation programming, including camps, classes, and sports for kids, teens, and adults. View and register


BROOKS STREET SWIM CENTER RENOVATIONS

The Brooks Street Swim Center is undergoing a $1.1M makeover! The renovations will include the replacement of the pool's deck, the re-plastering of the pool, and new mechanical equipment. The pool is expected to be closed until June while work is underway. All programming and passes at Brooks Street Swim Center shift to Marshall Street Swim Center during the closure. The Marshall Street pool was re-plastered earlier this year and the newly opened William Wagner Aquatic Center is available year-round.
