Dear SEMO Community,

I am writing to share the sad news that Dr. Alberto Dávila, dean of the Harrison College of Business and Computing has passed away.

Alberto has been a valued member of the SEMO community since joining us in 2018. He was a respected economist and researcher who contributed greatly to the Harrison College of Business and Computing as well as the entire University.

We send our deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to his wife, Marie, and his family as well as the SEMO community—the many friends, colleagues, and students who knew and were supported and inspired by Alberto. He will be missed.

We will shortly be sharing information for the transition in the Dean’s office for the Harrison College of Business and Computing.

Sincerely,

Carlos Vargas, President
