News & Updates

MUSIC’S IN OUR BLOOD

King County Creative is partnered with Bloodworks Northwest on their Music’s In Our Blood campaign. The goal of this campaign is to get 20,000 music community members to donate blood or re-engage as a blood donor by the end of the year. Good job donating in August everyone: 3,480 blood donors!

Our blood supply to local hospitals is critically low. We’re calling on you to pump up the blood supply by donating at a center or pop-up drive. Volunteer donors are the only source of blood. In just one hour of your day, you can ensure local trauma centers have the blood they need to take care of patients this fall.

Harbor Island Updates

"What's happening at Harbor Island?"

This is a question we field regularly right now. We are grateful for the seemingly endless interest in Harbor Island Studios and are working hard to get doors open. Progress continues and we are currently awaiting the results of an acoustic assessment of the soundstages, which will inform near term improvements as we approach the official Grand Opening date! Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted. To request a tour please use the button below.

Meet Your Executive Film Advisory Board

For the past two years, a noble and committed group of film industry professionals have served as the Executive’s Film Advisory Board (EFAB) advising us on the King County Film Initiative and Harbor Island Studios development. While we mostly meet in Zoom, those of us who were in town recently gathered to spend some time together in real life!
