April 2024 in Review

During the month of April, we had a lot of fun activities. We enjoyed book club with Bobbi Perez and Kitty, cooked with Doug, played games with both Doug and Sarah, and started seedlings for our garden. We also had cooking classes with Chris Kennedy, art classes with Sarah, and woodworking with Doug. In addition, we had art classes with Finnie and Fiona, and sang weekly with Kerry Rosenthal. We even had music games with Emerson, music history with Bob Horan, and music movement with Kathleen and Mark.

To stay fit, we played pickleball with Sarah, had bi-weekly yoga classes, went swimming every other week at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center, and had yoga dance classes and fitness classes with Bari. We also went bowling at Maple Lanes.

We embarked on enriching field trips that broadened our horizons. We explored the agricultural practices at Spring Brook Farm in Reading, marveled at the craftsmanship of Danforth Pewter in Middlebury, immersed ourselves in the world of art at the Brattleboro Art Museum, and gained insights into precision engineering at the Precision Machine Shop. Afterwards we went to the Path of Life Sculpture Garden for a picnic lunch. We did a field trip to Billings Farm and we went to Frates Farm on April 8th to watch the Eclipse.

The highlight of the month was practicing for our upcoming musical, Peter Pan and the Pirates of Zackland, which will be held on May 8th at the Town Hall Theater.
