Missions Monthly for April

In April, the disciples and congregation of Grace Covenant were involved in all these mission projects. On behalf of the Missions and Outreach Committee, thank you for sharing your time, talents, energy, and money to help our community and beyond.

Soup Kitchen, April 13: Team A, Captain Dan Gajda, served 85 meals + seconds.

plus Elisabeth Egli, Rebecca Huskey, and all those who contributed desserts.

Communion Food Collection: You gave 20 boxes of dry cereal, 4 boxes of Mac and cheese, and 100 individual packets of hot cereal for the Center for Community Services.

Social Justice Project: Seventeen people from Grace Covenant and Poplar Spring Missionary Baptist Church traveled to Charleston and the International African American Museum on April 13. Thanks to Brian Norton and Kent Washington for organizing our trip.

GOAL: "Organized People Power Made the Difference at the Nehemiah Action!" Forty-five people from Grace Covenant joined almost 1700 other people for the GOAL Nehemiah Action where we demonstrated that we care about our neighbors who need affordable housing and mental health services. We heard some powerful testimonies from brave people directly affected by these issues. GOAL presented some targeted solutions for funding that can make a difference. Thanks to everyone from our congregation who attended for your faith and involvement.
