In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness

has not overcome it. 

- John 1:4-5 - 

God’s word makes it clear that those living in sin, are living in darkness enslaved to sin, and its eternal consequences. Are you worried that you are left in the dark? Are you worried your sin, shame, and despair are overtaking you? I would like to introduce you to the darkness destroyer- his name is Jesus Christ who said,  “I am the light of the world.” 

Left alone, we would be quite literally left in the dark. But thanks be to God, Christ Jesus our Lord shines in the darkness, overcomes the darkness, and destroys it! That’s what light does; it destroys darkness.

Outside of Jesus, there is temporary light all of which eventually fades. John states that “In” Jesus was life and that life was the light of all mankind. Therefore, the light of Christ shines through us as we proclaim his love and forgiveness to all people.  Today we rejoice that our Lord Jesus has come to shine the light of His love, forgiveness, and hope through his incarnation, perfect life, death, and of course, his resurrection.  

It’s bright in here. ;-)

• California and the people who are experiencing great loss and devastation with the fires burning there. The Lord is our strength in times of trouble and crisis. We pray for mercy upon the people and first responders.

• Growing Grace Fellowship New Building Campaign. that the Lord will continue to guide and provide in all aspects of the building campaign from funds raised to the design process. Lord, your will be done!
