Building the Rising Generations - Glorifying Jesus Christ through Distinctive Education

Thank you to the team led by FON Executive Director, Tyson Lee, and FON President, Dr. Roger Mardis, that served at NBS School to paint a mural on the courtyard wall.. The team from Alabama was directed by artist, Scott Campbell. Scott created this beautiful mural and led the team as they worked together to bring his design to life. The theme of the artwork is "The heavens declare the glory of God" and depicts references to several Scriptures. Thank you to all those who worked on this project!

These photos show the team beginning the work and Scott working on fine details. What a transformation! Thank you, Scott, for using your gifts and talents for the Lord!

NBS hosted a celebration dinner for the team when the mural was complete. Each team member received a special award plaque in gratitude for their work.

"It’s hard to discern how God could use a painted mural in view of all the difficulties going on in the world today. I struggle with finding any appreciation of art amid all the propaganda and visual media being shoveled through our devices each day. The heart of man is put on display and the heart of God is rarely seen and/or appreciated. Then I witnessed the heart of God manifested in a teacher using a mural as an object lesson for young minds still innocent of much of the media. The love of God manifested within a team coming together to serve another. The peace of God realized among new friends as we not only served together but worshipped as we served. The Spirit of God seen in answered prayer throughout the entire journey… He was present in every way – what more could anyone ask for?"

CONGRATULATIONS TO FADI ABU KHADRA!

Several years ago, Friends of Nazareth began a partnership with the University of North Alabama's International Department. UNA paved the way for NBS students to attend university in the USA. Four years ago, Fadi was the first NBS student to begin his journey at UNA and is now a UNA graduate! Fadi received his degree in Business Administration and plans to earn his Master's Degree at UNA.

Najed Azzam is not only a wonderful brother in Christ but also the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Nazareth Baptist School. Najed Azzam is an Arab Christian who was born and raised in Nazareth, Israel. He spent over a decade as an executive vice president in an international telecommunications company, leading a global team across Israel, the US, Europe, and Asia. However, about 10 years ago, he felt called by the Lord to settle down in his hometown and use the talents and experience that God blessed him with to serve Him in His own town.

Najed considers his role as chairman of the board at NBS to be a God-given mission. He believes that the best way to transform society and protect future generations from the influence and brainwashing of the world is through Biblically-based education. His personal vision for his involvement with the school and the local church is to transform Nazareth, the city that rejected and expelled Jesus over 2000 years ago, back to Jesus and to glorify Him in His own city.
