Trimble Worksmanager Training

This course is intended for construction contractors, office data managers, surveyors and engineers who wish to become familiar with data management of construction data utilizing Trimble Worksmanger for two-way data syncing. This course will also cover Trimble Business Center workflows for Worksmanager.

New GPS Site Set-up and Calibration

Thursday January 5 2023, 8:00am – 11:30am

Location - SITECH Office      

Cost - $100 per person

This course is intended for anyone charged with setting up new GPS jobsites.

We will cover what information you need to request ahead of time and how to handle and convert job files. We will also go over how to set up the base station, rover, perform a site calibration, and create data for GCS900, CAT Accugrade, and Trimble Earthworks. This will be both classroom and field training.

GCS900 / Accugrade 3D Operators Training

This course is intended for machine operators that need to understand and use Trimble GCS900 and Cat Accugrade GPS machine control.

This course will teach components needed for GPS Machine Control, installing the components, basic screens and menus in the GPS display, and daily machine operation techniques. Course taught in classroom setting.

Introduction to Trimble Business Center V5.XX

Trimble Business Center is a powerful software tool for all phases of construction. This course is intended for construction contractors, data managers, surveyors and engineers who would like to have an understanding of how Trimble Business Center is used in construction technology.

 

This is an introductory class and prerequisite for more advanced TBC classes. We will cover self-help tools, project settings, using templates, importing data, viewing tools and other basic concepts used throughout most TBC workflows. We will also introduce the TBC add on editions that unlock the full power of Trimble Business Center.

 

Attendees are encouraged to have Trimble Business Center V5.xx loaded on PC along with a wheeled mouse before attending course. Sample data will be provided.

UTS Set-Up for Site Positioning, Machine Control, and 3D Paving

Thursday January 12 2023, 8:00am – 11:30am

Location - SITECH of Indiana         

Cost - $100 per person

This course will teach you how to get the most out of your SPS930 “UTS” and other SPS robotic total stations on the jobsite. We will cover how to field calibrate and set up your robot for field and machine operation. We will cover basic site layout and measurements. We will also show you how to hand off the UTS to get the machine up and going.

Trimble Siteworks Field Software

Tuesday January 17 2023, 8:00am – 11:30am

This course is intended for site supervisors, foremen, and grade checkers.

 

This course will teach students how to setup a GPS rover and basic functionality of Trimble Siteworks field software. Data file structure and file management will be discussed for the TSC7 and Trimble Tablet style data collectors. Components of site positioning will be discussed, as well as how to operate the components. Along with basic grade checking and stakeout we will also discuss topographic surveying, volume calculation, line stakeout, feature stakeout, and other features of Siteworks. This class is both classroom and field training.

Siteworks Rover Data - Office to Field to Office

Tuesday January 24 2023, 8:00am – 11:30am

This course will cover getting engineered 3D data to your Siteworks rover. We will also discuss basic grade checking, stake out, and data collection in the field.

 

We will take a look at the methods available for getting engineered data to the data collector including Trimble Business Center. We will then utilize Siteworks for grade checking, stake out, and as built data collection. We will show how to import the field data back into Business Center for review and report generation.

 

Attendees are encouraged to have Trimble Business Center V5.xx loaded on PC along with a wheeled mouse before attending course. Sample data will be provided.

Intro to PCS900 & Roadworks for 3D Paving

Thursday January 26 2023, 8:00am – 11:30am

Cost - $100 per person


This course is for anyone engaged in stringless paving. We will discuss UTS set up, data requirements, machine measure up, and best practices for 3D asphalt, mainline concrete, and stringless curb machines. There will also be time for an open Q&A to discuss any specific issues.

Advanced Trimble Business Center V5.XX

Tuesday January 31 – Thursday February 2 2023, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Location – SITECH of Indiana        

Cost - $1000 per person


This will be a 3-day deep dive into to Trimble Business Center. We will start with a basic overview of TBC, discuss data import types, and the different TBC objects (points, polylines, linestrings, surfaces, etc). We then discuss available tools and workflows as we are modeling a 3D site. By day 3 we will be importing PDF data to perform a site takeoff and reviewing the results and takeoff reports to understand topsoil stripping, dirt volumes, and areas of cut/fill.

 

Attendees must have Trimble Business Center V5.xx loaded on PC along with a wheeled mouse before attending course. Sample data will be provided.
