Join California's Department of Health Care Services' (DHCS) upcoming webinar to better understand the targeted provider rate increases for calendar year 2024, as outlined in All Plan Letter 24-007, published on June 20. This session aims specifically to provide clarity on the requirements for Medi-Cal managed care plans to implement these rate increases.

You're invited to join CalAIM providers from throughout the state at the monthly CalAIM Provider Forum from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. The CalAIM Provider Forum is designed to give current and prospective providers of Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports services the opportunity to share knowledge, ask questions, and collaboratively problem solve.

Get involved with local providers and stakeholder shaping county and regional activities through the Collaborative Planning and Implementation meeting. This Population of Focus Spotlight by DHCS illustrates how Enhanced Care Management (ECM) is delivered—and Community Supports are coordinated—for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Whether you are or plan to become an ECM provider, this resource can support the refinement or initiation of ECM programs for Medi-Cal managed care plan members experiencing homelessness. 

Integrating CalAIM Services for Individuals and Families Experiencing Homelessness

Now available on-demand as a recording: this DHCS webinar explores how ECM and CS can be integrated to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness and shares valuable insights from providers and plans on implementing these services. Key topics include how to make referrals to both models and strategies for outreach and engagement.

CalAIM Success Stories

Learn first-hand successful deliveries of ECM and CS services to Medi-Cal members from CBOs, Medi-Cal providers, and others in DHCS’ new portal: “PATHways to Success.” In the article "A Mother and Son Find Secure Housing Through Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports," the braiding of ECM and housing-related Community Supports is highlighted to demonstrate how it can lead to secure housing for families and individuals in need.

Bridging the Gap: Building Partnerships Between Managed Care Plans and Homeless Service Providers 

In an article by the Center for Health Care Strategies, Kris Kuntz, Program Director of Housing and Homeless Strategy at Anthem Blue Cross, shares insights on how Managed Care Plans (MCPs) can partner with homeless service providers to improve care and services for individuals experiencing homelessness. Key topics include the essential elements for successful partnerships between MCPs and homeless service providers, the role of CalAIM in facilitating these relationships, and how MCPs can contribute to the financial sustainability of services offered by homeless service organizations.
