SIGN UP FOR THE PARISH RETREAT MAY 3RD-MAY 5TH!

We have an amazing group of Parishioners headed to Camp Weed this weekend for our Parish Retreat. A weekend of relaxation, fellowship and sessions led by Father Quinn are on the agenda! Please say a prayer for them for a safe trip and that they come back refreshed and renewed by their time away!

"For the members of our parish on retreat at Camp Weed this weekend, that they may know goodness, grace, and joy in their time away, for Christ is risen."

The Lord is risen indeed!

There will be a Children's Homily this Sunday at 10:30am, but there will not be Children's Chapel.

A NOTE FROM YOUR VESTRY!

As part of our overall campus security measures "No Trespassing" signs will be posted on the outer perimeter of the undeveloped four acres at the back of All Saints property. This does not in any way indicate any pending disposition of the undeveloped acreage. It is part of being a good steward of blessings bestowed on us.

UPDATES FROM THE ALL SAINTS ARCHITECTURE AND AESTHETICS COMMITTEE!

Our beautiful Christus Rex Creation Window has been a gem of All Saints since 1965. Designed and created by Willet Stained Glass Studio, founded in 1890, it is made up of 58 sections which were painstakingly cut with a sharp, double-edged hammer. We need to make sure that it is always looked after and protected. A protective covering replacement project is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 7 with an approximate completion length of 10 work days. The courtyard area around the Creation Window will be taped off as needed for construction scaffolding and equipment. This is a much needed project and we are thrilled to have donors who have helped offset some of the cost.

The pair of Parish Hall entrance doors nearest the kitchen have had both door jambs replaced (the section of jamb that hang the door). This was a safety issue. The A & A Committee is researching further work on the Parish Hall (flooring, furniture and fixtures) which will be forwarded to the vestry for action when the project proposals are finalized.

IMPORTANT CAMP WEED HAPPENING DATES!

Candidate application deadline is TBD. The Team Application deadline is July 29th with a team meeting August 16-17th. Please contact Marissa for additional information!

ALL SAINTS IS FORMING A NEWCOMER'S MINISTRY! WE WOULD LOVE FOR YOU TO BE A PART OF IT!

We are excited to rekindle the Newcomers & Greeters Ministry! This ministry focuses on identifying and helping connect new people attending worship at All Saints to all we have to offer. We are looking for singles, couples, families, old and young alike, to be a part of this vital ministry.

We would like to engage as many current members as possible to serve as greeters and/or to help with newcomer initiatives.

The time commitment for greeters is approximately 30 minutes on a given Sunday and you can sign up as an individual or as a household.

We would like to have a short organizational meeting in the next few weeks, date and time TBD.

Please email Molly at the church office if you are interested and we will contact you about next steps.

The Food Pantry is currently in desperate need of PASTA, CANNED VEGETABLES, MAC-N-CHEESE AND BREAKFAST ITEMS, all important staples for families! Please consider picking up anything you are able and then bring it to the church THIS SUNDAY. Morning Prayer on Zoom continues! EVERY MONDAY at 8am! NEW ZOOM LINK HERE!

In many times and places, daybreak has been a time of prayer. Jews prayed in their synagogues at sunrise as well as at other times each day. This Jewish pattern of prayer formed the basis of the Christian monastic Daily Office, with its prayers or “hours” at seven times in each day. Thomas Cranmer’s revision of the Daily Office for the first English Prayer Book (1549) reduced the number of services to two - one for morning (Matins) and one for evening (Evensong or vespers). In the Second English Prayer Book (1552), the morning service was given its present name, Morning Prayer.

All Saints would love for you to join us on Monday mornings at 8 AM via Zoom to pray the service of Morning Prayer from the Daily Office. What better way to start your week than a sweet reminder that your days belong to God and that you are never alone? Just open up your computer or smart phone, and click HERE to join. The meeting ID is 864 6807 3272 and the passcode to enter the Zoom meeting is 469781 or just email Julia Suddath HERE for the Zoom invitation. You can also use Forward Movement's Daily Prayer resource HERE to see the liturgy and to read the assigned Bible readings for Morning Prayer.

Come and be nourished with the Word of God and prayer!
