Feb 10-11: Winter Ethical Leadership Conference for High School Students

Leaders of Tomorrow Encouraged to Apply!

We look forward to hosting our next edition of Five-Star Character: The George C. Marshall Ethical Leadership Conference for high school juniors and seniors on February 10 and 11, 2023 in Leesburg.

The conference leverages lessons from the life and example of George C. Marshall, whose career as a soldier and statesman serves as a positive and timeless model of effective ethical leadership and “five-star character.” Using examples from Marshall’s long career of service, participants learn and apply these enduring lessons in a modern context.

New Museum Planned!

Building a Home for Leadership

We are pleased to share that the Marshall Center is moving forward with plans to build a new museum addition to promote the growth and long-term sustainability of Dodona Manor.

The Town of Leesburg has granted initial approval for the preliminary plan for the museum space, which will reduce unnecessary wear and tear on Dodona Manor; leverage technology to boost our educational programs; and support increased learning, historical research and exhibit preparation.

The new facility will deliver:

1) Educational Facilities

2) Expanded Exhibit Space

3) Improved Visitor Support

4) Adequate Workspace

We plan to break ground in late 2023 and get construction underway soon after. Stay tuned for more details on this exciting project in the coming months, and please email us at museum@georgecmarshall.org if you would like to contribute to the construction of the facility.

Did you know a lot of plants benefit from a winter pruning? Dodona Manor’s beautyberry bushes are a prime candidate.
