New $41 billion Multi-Year Improvement Program Is Largest In State History


A record-breaking $41.42 billion over six years provided by the latest multi-year program will build and repair infrastructure throughout Illinois across all modes of transportation touching every Illinois county. The new program continues the momentum of the governor’s historic, bipartisan Rebuild Illinois capital program and aims to modernize the state's transportation system, creating economic opportunity while improving safety, mobility and quality of life.

FAA Approves Second Airport In Las Vegas


The FAA has given its approval to start construction on a second airport in the Las Vegas area.

This will be an executive airport just outside the city. This new airport will service single engine and multi-engine planes, as well as rotorcraft (like helicopters) and accommodate aircraft that could not normally fit at Harry Reid International, formerly McCarran Airport, especially on huge tourist days like the Formula 1 race and the Super Bowl.
