Dear SFX Community,

What a great week! We had many exciting things happening and capped it off in remarkable fashion with our spring concert. Big thanks to Mr. Favaro for his effort and dedication to the music program at our school. The students were incredibly prepared and put on a great show today for the parents and yesterday for our students.

Yesterday many of our seventh graders were also inducted into the National Junior Honor Society in a beautiful ceremony right after Pledge & Prayer.

With only four weeks of the school year remaining, it’s important to keep our eye on the prize, keep growing, keep learning, and keep working hard all the way to the end.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and we look forward to seeing you back on campus Monday morning.

Parent University

Join us on Tuesday, April 30th for a Parent University session on the Importance of Play. Deanna Sheedy from the organization "Play" will be presenting immediately following Pledge & Prayer in the library. This session is designed for parents with students in PS - 2nd Grade. Please plan to join us!

Annual Golf Tournament

It's not too late! We have a couple spots left! Sign up today. It will be a fun morning next Friday, May 3rd with some friendly competition at Papago Golf Club.

School Supply List Now Available

This year we've partnered with 1st Day School Supplies again to help make your back to school shopping easy.

The online store is open. All you have to do is select your student's grade level for next year, purchase the kit and the supplies will be ready for your student in their classroom on the first day of school. Bonus! For each kit sold, SFX will receive a $5 donation.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Save the date! The week of May 6th will be Teacher Appreciation Week. Monday will be Principal Appreciation Day and the rest of the week we'll celebrate our teachers. Show them some love with a simple gesture like a hand made card or note.

Class of 2020 Alumni Pizza Party

Every year we invite graduating seniors back to our SFX Campus before they head off to college. The students will have time to visit with each other and their SFX teachers, look through old yearbooks and check out what's changed on campus.

Help spread the word to our SFX Class of 2020! It will take place this Tuesday, May 7th at 3:15 pm in The Sullivan courtyard. Share the registration link with them to sign up.

Weekly Highlights

1st Communion & Confirmation

Our 3rd graders (and a few older students not pictured) made their First Communion and Confirmation last Saturday. It was a special morning for our students and their families.

NJHS Induction Ceremony

Congratulations to our 7th Graders who were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Thursday morning. We look forward to your leadership in the 24-25 school year.

Congrats to Junior High Sports Teams!

Our Junior High teams competed in the CYAA tournament the past few weeks. Congrats to our 8th Grade girls basketball team for winning 3rd place, our 7th Grade girls gold basketball team for winning 3rd place and our 7th and 8th Grade boys baseball teams for both winning 1st place!!

Families for Others

Volunteer with SFX Mini Vinnies

SFX has two volunteer opportunities every Monday to serve dinner in the dining hall at SVDP from 3:30-6:30 pm. Volunteers must be ages 9 and older and accompanied by an adult.

The first Saturday of every month is a “Hearts and Hands” program from 9:00-11:30 am that includes arts and crafts or other projects appropriate for our youngest volunteers.

Fiesta de Primavera at the Parish

Fiesta de Primavera is our communal Easter celebration, which will be held on May 4th, 2024. It will be fun evening filled with music, fantastic food and a chance to get to know your fellow Parishioners.

Tickets are $25 per person which includes entrance & dinner. You can purchase tickets at the parish office or after Mass. Please note: This event is for adults only.
