Good Morning Members & Friends

It's Balloon Fest Week!!

GCHABF 2024

Our BIGGEST event of the year kicks off THIS THURSDAY!

We are so excited! It's our 20th 🎉 Year, and we can't wait to welcome everyone to OWA Parks & Resort for an unforgettable experience.

In case you missed it, we recently shared some essential updates and resources in an email last Friday. If you haven't had the chance to review it yet, you can find all the necessary information here: GCHABF News & Resources.

Prepare to be amazed by days filled with fun hot air balloon activities, peruse local arts and crafts, enjoy live music on the island stage, stroll through downtown OWA, see the Disc-Connected K9s, and so much more! Remember, admission is FREE for everyone! Please note that while all hot air balloon rides and glows are planned, they are subject to weather and wind conditions for everyone's safety.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible sponsors and dedicated volunteers whose support makes this event possible. It takes 300+ volunteers to make this event come to life! Your contributions truly make a difference, and we are immensely grateful for your generosity. ♡

🎉

Gateway to Great Careers Hosts Final Tour

GSHS Industry Tours 2024

Gateway to Great Careers concluded its final industry tour with Gulf Shores High School on Thursday, April 25th. This month's excursion spotlighted careers in Ecotourism, Sustainability, and Agriculture. The day kicked off with a pleasant stroll from Gulf Shores High School to the Gulf State Park, where students engaged with various staff members and explored the park's Learning Campus. Students also had the opportunity to listen to representatives from the Gulf Coast Center for Ecotourism and Sustainability, slated to open in the Spring of 2025. The group convened at Baldwin EMC's training room for lunch, followed by presentations from experts including Alabama's Cooperative Extension System/Auburn University's Agriculture Agent and Park Rangers from The City of Foley at Graham Creek Nature Preserve. ► Read More Here
