St. Veronica Catholic School

THE VIKING VOICE

December 15, 2022

FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

It’s hard to believe the Christmas liturgical season is upon us! The Christmas spirit has filled our school over these last few weeks. Our Vikings have worked hard to demonstrate the virtue of patience as they learned of the Nativity Story, Jesse Tree, St. Juan Diego, and many of the traditions founded in our church.

Tonight our band, vocal ensemble, and show choir will perform Christmas songs for our St. Veronica School community at 7:00pm. The 1st-4th graders will present their annual Christmas Show to the community on Monday, December 19, at 6:30.

We have been blessed with a faith-filled Advent and anxiously await the birth of our Savior on Christmas. I wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and joyful New Year.

God bless,

Stephanie

Registration for 2023-2024

Beginning January 12, 2023, school registration will open for current families and parishioners. Our registration process will be moving to a digital format via our OptionC logins. All current school families have an OptionC account that will be used to update student information and commit to next year’s enrollment. If you need support in activating your account, please contact the school office. We strongly encourage our families to register early, as we have had a steady interest in enrollment for next school year. Registration will open to non-parishioners on January 29.

Tuition and Fees

The 2023-2024 tuition rates have been set in an effort to achieve a balance between the rising cost of education and the needs of our school community. Additional support has been provided to our parishioners who share their time, talents, and treasures throughout the year. Please click here for the tuition rates for next school year and here to learn more about our Early Tuition Incentive.

Catholic Education Foundation Grant

Annually the Catholic Education Foundation offers a grant to support families and their tuition needs. The deadline to apply for this grant is February 3, 2023. Steps to apply for this grant can be found here

Scholarship Giving Opportunity

The State of Ohio recently created a program called Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs), which allows individual donors and pass-through organizations to receive credit on their Ohio taxes for up to $750 per individual and $1,500 for joint filers when donating to an approved SGO. All you must do is make a qualified donation to a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) which will benefit St. Veronica Catholic School. You may also click here for more details.

MANY VOICES – ONE FAMILY

YOUR VOICE MATTERS

As part of the Beacons of Light, our family of parishes will be participating in a family-wide survey. The survey is about discipleship conducted by the Catholic Leadership Institute (CLI) the organization helping us navigate through the phases of Beacons of Light. We need your help!

Please help us by participating in a 10-15 minute survey online. The survey can be accessed through an online link from Saturday, January 21 thru Monday, February 27, 2023 and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide feedback on our parish’s efforts to help you grow. All responses will be confidential, and the parish will only receive information about the community as a whole. We will share the link with you a bit closer to the launch of the survey.

We are trying to get the highest response rate possible. This information will be invaluable to Father Del and our various ministries as we plan for the future and strive to be the best disciples we can be. We will receive the results this spring/summer at which time we will share what we have learned with the entire parish. This survey will be conducted every 2-4 years which will allow us to receive feedback and restructure as needed.

If you do not have access to the internet and prefer a paper copy you may pick up a paper copy of the survey after daily and Sunday Masses, located in the Narthex or at the Ministry Center. To submit the completed paper survey, please drop off at the parish office. To make special arrangements for getting a paper copy, please call or stop by the parish office.

Thank you for helping with this important project!

Sincerely,

St. Veronica School Speech Team 2023
