CBJ U Speaker/Community Shabbat

Friday, May 3rd: CBJ-U Speaker/Community Shabbat: Giving Back Here and Abroad.  Madelyn Anton, graduate of Congregation B’nai Jacob Religious School and lifelong member of CBJ will share the story of her work in the field of Social Action and Social Justice.  In addition to sharing information about her own experience, Madelyn will discuss ways that individuals, families and organizations can work together for change.

Look for donation box in the lobby. Phoenixville Health Care Access always appreciates donations of new toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash.

Kane Baby Naming

We are thrilled that CBJ members Rachel and Michael Kane will bring their daughter into our sanctuary on Shabbat morning of May 4th, to officially be welcomed into the covenant and to receive her Hebrew name.

The service begins at 9:30 am, and the covenental/naming ritual will occur during the Torah service (which will begin no later than 10:30 am).

Everyone is welcome to join us in the sanctuary for this simcha/joyous moment, and to celebrate afterward at the Seudat Mitzvah/Feast of the Mitzvah, as Rachel and Michael are sponsoring the Kiddush for everyone celebrating with their family on this momentous day.
