January 2025 E-Newsletter

Thank you, Alison! 💗

After 12 incredible years, Alison DeJung is stepping down as Executive Director of Eden I&R. A true leader who began as Deputy Director, Alison transformed our organization with her exceptional leadership and dedication to 211’s importance.

Alison has always been deeply committed to our callers. Her deep empathy and genuine care shine through in every interaction, ensuring that each person who reaches out feels truly heard and supported by our CRM staff. Her compassionate approach has been the cornerstone of our mission to connect community members with critical resources.

Under Alison's leadership, Eden I&R achieved significant milestones, including the launch of a transportation department offering concierge ride services for seniors and people with disabilities and the founding of the 211/City Manager Work Group, which resulted in a new, increased funding model for 211, now adopted by nearly every city in Alameda County. She also spearheaded the agency’s first-ever annual organizational work and development plans and invested heavily in equity, transforming the agency’s hiring and promotion processes.

Alison, your leadership and dedication have been truly exceptional. We are deeply appreciative of your years of service and the profound impact you've made on our organization and the community we serve. We wish you the very best in your future endeavors and will always be grateful for your remarkable contributions.
