We hope that this message finds you in good health and spirits. Along with warmer weather, this time of year brings us occasion for celebration and gathering, and we are looking forward to seeing you at the various events taking place on campus over this next month.

Even during this joyous time, please know that the community’s security and safety are of utmost importance and priority. Read on for updates and resources regarding the following:

ID Check/Campus Access Process

In accordance with CUNY guidance, Queens College will lift COVID vaccine and testing requirements as of May 23, 2023. Additionally, Queens College will no longer utilize the Cleared4 health verification.

Please be sure to continue to carry your QCard as it will be needed for access. For information on how to get a QCard, go to https://www.qc.cuny.edu/its/qcard/. Individuals who are not QCard holders will be asked to show a photo ID when entering campus.

Discussions on the future of campus access led by Chief of Staff Desirae Colvin and Assistant Vice President Zeco Krcic have commenced, with input from the ad hoc working group on campus access. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the members for their long-running service for the past few years. We will keep the community apprised as these plans take shape.

How to Reach the Office of Public Safety

In the case of an emergency or if you have any questions about a situation you see or experience on campus, there are several ways to reach Public Safety:

  • Visit the Public Safety office at the Main Gate.
  • Call the Main Gate office at (718) 997-5911 or (718) 997-5912. We encourage you to save these numbers in your cell phone.
  • Email publicsafety@qc.cuny.edu

Always remember, if you see something, say something!

Reminder: Parking by Decal

As we enter a busy time of year, please remember to abide by the parking policies implemented by Public Safety. Information about how to purchase parking decals for next year will be sent in a separate mailer.

Mental Health Resources

And lastly, with final exams, the end of year, and summer plans coming up, this time is exciting and eventful but can also be stressful or met with unexpected challenges. Please remember to avail yourself of mental health resources as you need them:
