Arizona Chamber names Chandler "Best City for Business"
The Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry has named Chandler this year's winner of the Best City for Business Award. The award was presented during the 2023 Annual Awards Celebration, held on June 6 to recognize outstanding community and business leaders, as well as legislators who champion business issues.

The Best City for Business Award is given to a city or town that shows it can drive economic development, reduce regulatory burdens on business, and work with the business community to improve the local quality of life.

Intel Corporation, Chandler's largest employer, was also honored with the Corporate Citizen Award.
City to install new signage for Airpark Area branding
The City is planning to install branded monument signs at seven key locations within the Chandler Airpark Area as part of a branding initiative for the employment corridor.

This project advances a goal in the Chandler Airpark Area Plan Update, adopted in October 2021, which calls on the City to implement gateway elements to help identify the Airpark Area. The Airpark Area is one of five designated employment corridors in Chandler, covers nine square miles anchored by Chandler Municipal Airport, and home to more than 445 businesses employing 12,360 workers.

The City worked with custom sign builder YESCO on sign design with feedback from local stakeholders, including leading employers, property owners, real estate brokers, and neighborhood leaders. The sign design is consistent with City brand standards, incorporates an aviation theme, and is double-sided to look good from any direction. The City previously worked with YESCO on the West Chandler monument signs project, which was awarded 2021 Monument Sign Design of the Year by the Arizona Sign Association.

The target completion date for Airpark Area sign installation is end of 2023.
