Lyons Road Separated Bicycle Lanes Groundbreaking

The TPA attended the groundbreaking for the first separated bicycle lanes on a county road in Palm Beach County! The ~3 miles of curb-separated bicycle lanes will be located on Lyons Rd from Forest Hill Blvd. to Okeechobee Blvd. This project is funded by a TPA Local Initiatives grant in partnership with the county. It is expected to be completed by early 2024.

Funding Programs Workshop

A Grant Program Overview Workshop will be held this Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 2 - 4:30 p.m. at the Palm Beach TPA. This workshop will review the three annual funding programs the agency administers. If you cannot attend the workshop in person, please register to attend via Zoom.

The application deadline for the competitive Rail Transit Safety Education Grants has been extended to November 4. The grant program offers transit agencies and government entities up to $20,000 each for a total of $200,000 for rail safety education and public awareness initiatives.

World Day of Remembrance 

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is November 20, 2022, and puts the spotlight on the 1.35 million people killed each year in preventable traffic crashes and work for change. 


The Palm Beach TPA encourages roadway owners, local municipalities, safety organizations, community members, and elected officials to remember, support and act on behalf crash victims and their families to promote evidence-based actions to prevent and stop further road traffic deaths and injuries.
